About us
Who we are?
Immanuel Church Nicosia - ICN
Our purpose
We are a community of Christians from all over the world, with a common purpose to glorify God by obeying the Great Commandment (Matthew 22: 36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
We believe our biblical mandate includes:
- Worship, by word and deed, of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- Disciplining and nurturing followers of Christ to, individually and collectively, grow in spiritual maturity
- Encourage members to care for each other’s needs and to serve each other with their God-given talents and spiritual gifts
- Proclaim, in word and deed, the Gospel of God’s redemptive love with the aim of:
- Bringing non-Christians into a relationship with Jesus Christ
- Being a sign & agent of the Kingdom of God

Government
We affirm the lordship of Christ over His Church; we believe God speaks to His Church as a congregation. Therefore, the government of ICN is vested in those who choose to be voting members of the church on behalf of the congregation. The congregation delegates its administrative function and authority to the Council of Elders.
The Elders may be assisted in their service by deacons, committees and staff, as the need arises. Required servants include: Administrator, Treasurer and the Financial Committee.
External Accountability
The church voluntarily seeks the assistance of an advisory board whose members are not part of the congregation of ICN. The current Advisory Board of the ICN consists of 3 well respected members of the Christian community in Cyprus.
